YMAA Boston (Roslindale, MA)
Dr. Yang’s April Seminars
Our East Coast schools were honored to host Dr. Yang for a series of well-attended seminars:
- YMAA Boston – Taiji Martial Applications & Qin Na
- YMAA Wu An – Shaolin White Crane & Taiji Symbol
- YMAA Andover Tai Chi – Qigong Daily Practice, Taiji Martial Applications, Coiling Taiji and Qigong, Four Seasons Qigong: Spring
As always, the seminars brought together members from across the YMAA community, including many long-time instructors and students. We’re always grateful for the learning and training opportunities.

Wu An Martial Arts – YMAA Wu An (Watertown, MA)
We had a surprise visit from Quentin Lopes (YMAA Retreat Center graduate) who recently moved back to MA. It was the first time Dr. Yang had seen Quentin for several years. Quentin jumped right into the Taiji Symbol seminar and assisted with teaching as if no time had passed.

World Tai Chi & Qigong Day
April 25, 2026

Started in the 1990s, World Tai Chi & Qigong Day is a global health event held annually on the last Saturday of April at 10:00 a.m. local time, bringing together people in over 80 countries to promote the health benefits of Tai Chi and Qigong.
The YMAA Boston Taiji class usually celebrates by holding class at the Arnold Arboretum but bad weather kept them inside this year.
Dan Salive (YMAA Eastern CT) participated in pushing hands at the celebration at Wickham Park in Manchester, CT.
